When does my order arrive?
Our Swiss logistics partner PLANZER usually delivers within 24 hours. Orders placed by 12 p.m. are usually shipped the same day, or the following day at the latest.
Exceptions are special holidays.
You can also easily track your package using the tracking code you receive. It may happen that orders with multiple packages are delivered in two stages, even on different days.
Prices and discounts
We don't take back bottles and cans—it's better to put them in the recycling container. It makes no sense to use returned bottles. Firstly, they're heavier to ship. And secondly, our beers are shipped all over Switzerland. Collecting bottles is difficult. We therefore assume that you will also properly dispose of the bottles in the glass recycling center.
collection
Word is slowly getting around: modern aluminum cans are the perfect beer packaging. They're lined with a thin layer—the beer doesn't come into contact with the aluminum. They're flavorless, impermeable, leak-proof, more airtight than any other closure, and much lighter than glass. Beer clears much faster in the can, takes up less space in the refrigerator, and saves a considerable amount of energy compared to glass bottles. Cans are easier to collect than three types of heavy glass, take up almost no space after being compressed. What's more, remelting them requires a fraction of the energy required for glass recycling. We ship twice as many cans as bottles for the same postage and use less packaging material. This has an impact on the price.
Brewery shop
The only downside to the can compared to the bottle is that you shouldn't drink directly from the can. Unhygienic dirt can build up in the rimmed lid. So please, always drink PILGRIM from a nice glass.
What payment options do you offer?
Although our production costs, due to top-quality raw materials, small batches, and a lot of manual labor, are higher than those of regular breweries, we strive to offer our beer specialties at fair prices. Freight costs are a crucial factor and are included in the price. A package up to 25 kg costs around CHF 11.50 freight. We calculate this price based on the contents. Therefore, bottle prices are higher in small packages than in large packages. Cans offer a price advantage. Because they are unbreakable and lightweight, we can ship up to 48 cans per carton. This isn't possible with bottles. We reward larger orders with a 5% discount. The discount is only calculated in the shopping cart and is not deducted from the stated price.
Give
If, by any chance, you find defective bottles in your shipment, please report this within two days by email to info@pilgrim.ch, including a picture if possible. (So we can learn how to prevent damage.) We will cover the damage. We usually send you a voucher code for your next delivery or purchase in the brewery shop. If you expect a refund, we need your bank details and the EAN code. We do not accept Twint payments.
subscription
It's rare, but occasionally a package gets lost. You can track your package using the tracking code you received from the logistics company PLANZER. If the shipment hasn't arrived after two days, or if the information on the tracking code is incorrect, please contact PLANZER by email. You can find the address in the email with the tracking code and on the PLANZER website. If your package is indeed missing, please contact us by email at info@pilgrim.ch. Please include your order number, your name, and the postal code or city. We will always send you a replacement shipment without any hassle.
Send greeting message
If you're expecting two or three packages and only find one, please wait another day before calling for help. When loading the vehicles, the packages go over a scale – and when the vehicle is full, the conveyor belt automatically stops. It may happen that your first package is still allowed to go, but the second package has to wait. It will arrive the next day. However, this isn't visible on the tracking code. PLANZER is working on a solution.
Damage
Unfortunately, it occasionally happens that packages are stolen (especially when it's beer fans who know PILGRIM...). PLANZER photographs every delivery. The driver takes a picture of the package as it arrives at the door, along with the coordinates and time. If you see in the tracking code that the package has been delivered but is no longer there, contact PLANZER first and find out what happens next. PLANZER usually reports the theft to the police to prevent serial offenders or to catch them. Then contact us by email at "info@pigrim.ch" with your name, full address, and order number. We'll send you a replacement as quickly as possible, without any hassle. The case is closed for you.
durability
If the package reappears after more than four days of delay and you have already received a replacement shipment, we can only congratulate you – then you were lucky and received a free shipment.
Shipping
Pilgrim beers with 10% alcohol or more have a very long shelf life. They don't require a best-before date by law. Grand Cru beers with over 12% alcohol can be stored for many years. Craft beers with 5-8% alcohol have a shelf life of at least six months, usually longer. Beers with fruit or other additives are pasteurized. Beers with a high hop content are not pasteurized because hops help preserve the beer.
Express shipment
You'll find the best price in the brewery shop when you pick up your PILGRIM from us. They also regularly offer special offers.
Damage / incorrect shipment
The shop is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Our brewers will be on hand. If you'd like to buy beer in the morning, it's best to call ahead and check if the brewers are available.
Payment options
All credit cards (except American Express), Twint, and PayPal. Delivery on account is only available for larger orders and business partners.
Give
Our white box is an ideal gift box. It holds 6 small or 4 75cl bottles. The bottles are packaged in a completely shatter-proof manner. To ensure the lid stays in place, we label the carton on the unprinted back.
Greetings
You have the option of including a greeting message for the recipient. We'll print it on an A4 sheet with the monastery image. If you order one of our greeting or holiday cards printed on heavy paper, we'll enclose the greeting message inside the card and place it in a white envelope.
Subscription
We offer various subscription options. You can select the option under each corresponding product. This saves you the hassle of remembering to do it. Depending on the frequency – monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly – we will send you an email approximately 10 days before the subscription package is shipped with the corresponding invoice, which you will pay within 10 days. If you have changed your address, you can notify us now. You have two days to do so. However, you can no longer stop the shipment. If you want to cancel your subscription, send us an email now with the subject "Subscription Cancellation." We will confirm your cancellation and stop sending shipments after the last subscription package.
Monastery
Fischingen Monastery belongs to the Fischingen Monastery Association. The Benedictines and the Fischingen Monastery Brewery are independent tenants.
We pay the monastery rent for our part of the building, which we renovated at our own expense.
Property
The Kloster Fischingen Brewery AG is an independent public limited company. Its shares are wholly owned by Actienbrauerei Frauenfeld AG, the family-owned company of the Martin Wartmann-Heuberger family. Actienbrauerei Frauenfeld also holds a stake in Brauhaus Sternen AG in Frauenfeld.
